It is now safe to apply fertilizer to your EXSISTING centipede yard. If you recently purchased and installed sod, we recommend waiting until the grass is rooted in and established before applying. Stay away from the big box store fertilizers (i.e. "Turf Builders" and "Bonus S") These are typically too high in Nitrogen for Centipede grass and over time, will cause damage. The recommended fertilzer for centipede is 15-0-15.
If you installed sod over the fall or winter, or moved into a new home recently, be advised that you should be watering your yard regularly for a few weeks. All new turf purchased and installed for the rest of this spring/summer season needs to be watered heavily for at least 2-3 weeks. How you treat your new grass in the first two weeks can determine what it looks like for the next few years.

Kellum Sod Farm offers delivery, just visit our pricing page for more details. For planning purposes, we typically can fill your pick up orders within a day or two. Delivery availability can range from a couple of days to several weeks depending on the time of year.
Just need a little bit of sod? No problem, you can schedule a pick up directly from our shop location. Most pick up orders can be filled within 24 hours (weather permitting). Please be aware that certain times of the year, there may be a wait list.
Kellum Sod Farm can handle some basic installations in house during certain times of the year. If we can't handle your project, we work with several local landscapers that we would be glad to refer you to. Call and ask for details.
