The area continues to be in a pretty severe drought, but we are taking orders for both pick up and delivery while monitoring the situation carefully. Cutting is now on a day to day basis according to the weather. Please give us a call if you have any questions. Thank you for your patience!
Just need a little bit of sod? No problem, you can schedule a pick up directly from our shop location. Most pick up orders can be filled within 24 hours (weather permitting). Please be aware that certain times of the year, there may be a wait list.
It is now safe to apply fertilizer and herbicides to your EXSISTING lawn. We do don't recommend fertilizing NEWLY installed sod. If you bought the sod from us in the last few weeks, it has already been fertilized. Remember to stay away for the big box store fertilizer that seems to be so popular. Fertilizers like Scotts turf builder, Bonus S, etc. will make your yard look great for the first year, but continued use will lead to issues. Look for a more mild fertilizer like 15-0-15 at your local lawn and garden store. Make sure to follow the directions for application.
If you recently installed turfgrass, or moved into a new home over the last few months, now is the time that you should be watering everyday for the first two to three weeks. Check under the sod everyday. If there is subatantial moisture, there is no need to water, but new sod is going to be thirsty! We tell customers, how you treat the turf the first few weeks, will determine how it looks the next couple of years.
